Forest School
Forest School is an exciting opportunity for all children to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland area.
During Forest School sessions children rapidly learn about the boundaries within which they must work. Children respond positively to the sense of freedom . Children will go out in a range of weathers, learning and exploring from the seasons and environmental changes. We want children to make the most of the outdoors by taking risks and simply enjoying the messy environment.
At Moat Hall we are fortunate to have two outdoor woodland areas with both young and established trees. We value the role that outdoor education has in a child’s development. Our aim is to incorporate as much outdoor learning as possible into our broad and balanced curriculum. Our mission is to model the endless benefits of spending time in a forest environment. We want to develop the children’s physical fitness, problem solving abilities and resilience.
